BC’s Home Owner Grant Centralization

Municipalities do not accept retroactive or current year home owner grant applications. All eligible homeowners are required to apply for their home owner grant with the Province of BC, either online (see link above) or by phone at 1 888 355-2700. To avoid penalties and interest, apply before the tax penalty date. A payment is not required to claim the grant.

The following information is required to complete the home owner grant application:

• Jurisdiction number for the City of Parksville: 559
• Roll number as shown on the property tax notice
• Social Insurance Number
