Engineering Department

The engineering department is responsible for the technical aspects of municipal engineering such as infrastructure and utility management, capital projects, land development engineering, and support services. The department provides technical support to City departments and is responsible for the management of engineering records, drawings and permits. Staff ensure contracts and contractors are following City bylaws, policies and industry best practices and delivering the best value to residents and visitors for public assets.

The City’s information systems department and the emergency management program through Emergency Management Oceanside are departments within engineering.
